Race to Raise Awareness for Congenital Heart Defects in Run for Little Hearts
The 5th annual Run for Little Hearts is Kansas City’s exclusive CHD Awareness Event! Choose a distance to walk or run for a good cause! This family friendly event is hosted by the local nonprofit CHD Babies, founded by Lee’s Summit mom Kelly Manz, whose daughter Chloe was born with critical heart defects in 2008.
This is a family fun event benefiting babies and children born with congenital heart defects in the Kansas City area. It includes a one-mile awareness walk, 5K, 10K, and 50-yard kids' dash. Registration includes a super soft race t-shirt, finishers medal, food truck vendors, face painting, inflatables for all ages, Game Kart Video Game Bus, Wizard of Oz themed entertainment and more!
All proceeds will benefit the CHD Babies Fund for Research at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Also, funds will support local families affected by CHD and fund a free medically supervised summer camp for local kids born with heart defects, and youth heart screenings. We welcome everyone of all ages to join us for this event!
Waterside Residences on Quivira, an extraordinary blend of comfortable and convenient apartments in Lenexa, Kansas, would like to remind our friends and neighbors of this event on Saturday!
