Explore the History of Kansas City During the Original KC Streetcar Tour
Join Kansas City Walking Tours for a hop on/hop off walking and streetcar tour. The tour will start outside the Opera House at the 5th and Walnut stop and hear about the history of streetcars in Kansas City. From there, guests will hop off in the Library District for a look at a few historic buildings and the stories of Kansas City's past.
Tour-goers will learn about the recent downtown revitalization. Discover the people’s history of Kansas City and the struggles of many lesser-known players including the first female attorney. We'll take a detour inside two of Kansas City's history buildings.
From there we'll take a walk around Film Row and hear about the connection between Kansas City and Hollywood, in addition to tales of Tom Pendergast and his political machine.
Take a walk around Union Station and experience the history of this Kansas City icon. Also, find more things to do during your visit to Kansas City, all within easy access along the Streetcar route. This tour is offered on certain weeknights and also on Saturday afternoons. We also do custom tours for private groups.
We know you love your home at Waterside Residences on Quivira Apartments in Lenexa, Kansas, but it’s important to stay active and involved in your community. Attending this event is the perfect chance for you to journey outside your comfort zone to meet new people and seek new opportunities.
