Have an Environmentally-Friendly Holiday with the Tree Recycling Program

Go green this holiday season by recycling your holiday tree! There’s no better way to give the gift of a cleaner tomorrow than by taking part in the Overland Park tree recycling initiative. You can make Kansas a greener place by recycling your tree following the holidays!

Each year, Overland Park allows residents to drop off their holiday trees during daylight hours at Young’s Park, Quivira Park, the Overland Park Arboretum, or the Indian Creek Recreation Center. Your tree will get a second life as mulch that will help nurture trees in city parks all around the community. This enriching community tradition creates a fresh and long-lasting impact on our natural surroundings, so do your part and join in the progress! Just make sure to remove all lights, tinsel, ornaments, presents, and tree stands before dropping off your tree!

At Waterside Residences on Quivira, the premier apartments in Lenexa, Kansas, we pride ourselves on informing our residents about all the upcoming events our beautiful community has to offer. Don’t hesitate to join this event on Tuesday!

Event Time/Date:
Tuesday, December 26, 2017 – 8:00 AM
